Leading international law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Secretary for their NY office. A Senior Litigation Legal Secretary is a specialized administrative and support role for trial attorneys, providing high-level assistance in all phases of litigation, from pre-trial preparation to courtroom proceedings Core Responsibilities
Trial preparation & logistics: Organize and schedule hearings, depositions, and court appearances; coordinate with attorneys, court staff, and other parties
Document creation & filing: Draft, edit, and proofread pleadings, motions, briefs, and correspondence; file and track court documents
Case management: Maintain detailed case files, track deadlines, and ensure all legal materials are ready for trial
Evidence & witness support: Assist in gathering evidence, preparing witness lists, and taking depositions or mediations
Administrative duties: Answer phones, take accurate messages, manage office supplies, and maintain client files Skills & Qualifications
Legal knowledge: Understanding of civil/criminal litigation processes, court rules, and legal terminology
Organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail: Critical for accuracy in legal documents and case records.
Communication: Strong written and verbal skills for client and attorney interaction.
Experience: 15+ years in legal secretary or paralegal roles, with direct trial experience preferred
