Senior Fund Accountant

Job Overview:

A high-growth credit and special situations investment manager is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join its collaborative finance team. Managing multiple vehicles and SMAs, the firm offers a strong cultural environment, excellent benefits, and a real opportunity for growth.

Compensation: 100-140k +bonus

Location: New York

Hybrid (1–2 days in office/week), reverse commute from NYC.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial reports for internal stakeholders.
• Reconcile internal records with NAV packages from fund administrators.
• Prepare quarterly unaudited financials and assist with annual GAAP financial statements.
• Calculate management fees and develop waterfall models.
• Manage capital call and distribution allocations and notices.
• Provide audit support and compile regulatory data.
• Collaborate regularly with Finance, Investments, Investor Relations, Tax, and external partners.

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience in public accounting or relevant in-house fund accounting.
• Exposure to credit products is highly preferred.
• Fund accounting system experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of credit-focused products, including loans and debt instruments.
