JOB SUMMARY:
Senior Event Managers lead the planning and execution of complex, high-profile events from the initial concept through on-site delivery. This role oversees all event logistics, manages vendor and client relationships, mentors junior team members, and collaborates with other internal teams to ensure seamless event planning. A strong leader and problem-solver, the Senior Event Manager plays a key role in upholding operational excellence and delivering exceptional client experiences. Tier I status indicates the team member is new to the role and/or the company and requires role-specific training and guided oversight. Team members at this tier may still be actively learning procedures and/or developing stronger skillsets to manage larger-scale events and supervise others.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Leads the planning and execution of assigned events, ensuring alignment with client expectations, program objectives, and JRDM standards.
· Manages on‑site event operations, directing vendors and guiding event flow with confidence and professionalism.
· Oversees post‑event reconciliation, including reviewing expenses, gathering documentation, and providing accurate billing information to Accounting.
· Contributes to proposal development and transportation manifests, offering insights based on program needs and client goals.
· Conducts or participates in site inspections to support program design, planning accuracy, and client decision‑making.
· Maintains proactive, ongoing communication with clients, using active listening to understand needs and identify opportunities to enhance or upsell services.
· Builds and nurtures strong client relationships, supporting long‑term satisfaction and repeat business.
· Stays informed on industry trends, vendor capabilities, and innovative event solutions to elevate program quality.
· Maintains a thorough working knowledge of JRDM pricing, service offerings, and operational processes.
· Represents JRDM professionally in conversations with clients, prospective clients, business owners, and decision‑makers.
· Supports the onboarding and skill development of new team members by sharing knowledge, modeling best practices, and offering guidance when appropriate.
· Participates in staff meetings, networking events, and client meetings to support team alignment and business development efforts.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
· 4+ years of event management experience with a proven track record of successfully executed events of all scopes and sizes.
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Meeting/Event Planning, or a related field strongly preferred.
· CMP or similar designation (or in the process of acquiring it) strongly preferred.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficient computing skills and a willingness to learn internal systems.
· Ability to work well under pressure and handle high-stress situations.
· Excellent organizational skills.
· Outstanding people skills; ability to work with a variety of personality types.
· Highly motivated self-starter; comfortable working independently.
· Willingness to travel and work in a diverse team of professionals.
· Flexibility to work evenings and weekends based on program schedules.
· Fast learner who can quickly develop an in-depth knowledge of company’s products and services.
· Ability to work reliably from home, using a personal computer or laptop, cell phone, and standard office equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
· This is a remote position; the majority of work will be performed at home. Some work may be done on-site or in a workspace leased by the company for this purpose.
· The physical work environment for this role may require the employee to work both inside and outside with the potential for exposure to heat, cold, rain, and humidity in the course of performing site inspections, attending client meetings, and similar sales-related appointments.
· Employee may be required to lift up to 20 pounds in the course of performing this role.
· Employee may work on weekends and/or nights as a part of the job.
· This role may require driving locally in the employee’s personal vehicle and the employee must maintain up-to-date licensure and registration.

· Annual salary commensurate with experience.
