The Company

Our client is a fast-growing infrastructure platform focused on developing large-scale, energy-ready sites for digital infrastructure and hyperscale users. Backed by leading institutional investors, the company operates with a lean, high-impact team and is entering a significant phase of capital deployment and project execution.

With a multi-gigawatt development pipeline and an integrated approach across power, land, and infrastructure, the platform offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of energy, real estate, and large-scale development.

The Role

This is a high-impact, second legal hire reporting directly to the Head of Legal. The role is designed for a transactional attorney who thrives in a fast-paced, build-stage environment and is looking to take on broad responsibility across commercial, development, and financing workstreams.

Importantly, the team is open to a range of legal backgrounds - including commercial, real estate, and project finance - so long as candidates bring strong transactional fundamentals and a willingness to operate as a true generalist within energy and infrastructure.

You will play a critical role in removing legal bottlenecks, enabling parallel deal execution, and bringing key legal capabilities in-house.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements, including vendor, contractor, and development contracts
  • Support and advise on energy-related agreements, including utility arrangements and power-related contracts
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across development, finance, and operations to drive projects forward
  • Assist with project financings, capital transactions, and strategic investments alongside external counsel
  • Provide legal support on real estate matters, including land acquisition, easements, and diligence (in coordination with outside counsel)
  • Manage and optimize use of external law firms across multiple workstreams
  • Help build internal legal processes and infrastructure as the company scales
  • Take ownership of key legal matters independently, with direct exposure to leadership

Candidate Profile

  • 5–7 years of experience
  • Strong transactional training from a top law firm or equivalent environment
  • Experience in energy, power, or infrastructure is preferred, but candidates may come from a variety of transactional backgrounds
  • Background may include a mix of:
  • Commercial contracts
  • Real estate (development, land, or infrastructure-related)
  • Project finance or structured finance
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and commercial judgment
