LHH is seeking Senior Corporate Counsel with a strong background in Environmental Litigation.


Our client is a highly respected industry leader with a sophisticated in-house legal team, and this is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced environmental litigator or regulatory attorney looking to work alongside a collaborative group of accomplished legal professionals while partnering directly with senior business leaders on high-impact matters across the organization.


In this role, you will serve as a key legal advisor on a broad range of environmental, regulatory, litigation, and risk management matters. You will manage significant environmental claims and litigation, advise internal stakeholders on regulatory compliance and strategic initiatives, oversee outside counsel, support transactional and operational matters, and help guide the company through evolving legal and regulatory developments.


Requirements:

  • 7+ years of legal experience with substantial environmental litigation and regulatory counseling experience
  • Strong knowledge of environmental statutes and regulations, including CERCLA, RCRA, the Clean Water Act, and the Clean Air Act
  • Experience managing complex litigation, investigations, and outside counsel
  • Excellent judgment and the ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional business teams
  • Prior in-house experience preferred, though accomplished law firm attorneys are encouraged to apply
