Freeman | Lovell is seeking a Senior Commercial Litigation Associate to join our growing remote team. We represent businesses of all sizes in complex commercial disputes and pride ourselves on delivering sophisticated legal counsel with the agility of a modern firm.
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of complex commercial litigation matters, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, and trial.
- Appear in Utah state and federal courts on behalf of firm clients.
- Develop case strategy and provide thoughtful, business-minded counsel to clients.
- Draft persuasive briefs, motions, and other litigation documents.
- Take and defend depositions and lead client and witness preparation.
- Work collaboratively with partners and associates across a fully remote platform.
- Mentor junior associates and contribute to the firm's culture and growth.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and 5-8 years of commercial litigation experience, ideally at a respected law firm.
- Active Utah bar license required, with the ability to appear in person for Utah court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials as needed.
- Strong writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently and lead matters from inception through resolution.
- Self-motivated, organized, and effective in a remote work environment.
- Additional bar admissions a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $150,000-$200,000, commensurate with experience.
