🔧 What You’ll Own

As a Senior Buyer, you will:

🔹 Lead strategic sourcing & supplier selection

• Evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and drive competitive advantage

🔹 Drive materials planning & inventory optimization

• Balance service levels, demand variability, and inventory investment

🔹 Analyze demand, costs, and market trends

• Build cost models, forecast material fluctuations, and lead cost savings initiatives

🔹 Champion supplier performance & relationships

• Improve delivery reliability, quality, and responsiveness

🔹 Serve as a team leader & mentor

• Train buyers, develop SOPs, and help shape team strategy

🔹 Partner with operations to solve real-time challenges

• Ensure materials availability and eliminate production disruptions

🎯 What We’re Looking For

We want someone who brings both technical strength and leadership mindset:

✅ 5–7+ years in purchasing, materials planning, or supply chain

✅ Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments

✅ Strong ERP experience (JD Edwards a plus)

✅ Knowledge of MRP, JIT, Kanban

✅ Ability to read engineering drawings & build “should-cost” models

✅ Advanced Excel skills + data-driven decision-making

💡 Bonus: SQL knowledge or supply chain certifications (CPP, CPPM)
