Overview:

We are partnering with a well established retailer that is entering a major phase of transformation across brand, digital, e-commerce, customer experience and technology. The business is a well established consumer brand with a strong heritage in its category and a loyal customer base. They are now entering a significant phase of digital transformation, with a focus on modernising the customer experience, improving online performance, and reaching new customer segments through a more sophisticated e-commerce strategy. As part of this evolution, they are looking for a Director of E-commerce to lead the next phase of growth across digital trading, site experience, customer journey and commercial performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the e-commerce strategy across site experience, trading, conversion, customer journey and digital growth.
  • Improve the customer experience across the full online journey, identifying friction points and creating a more seamless path to purchase.
  • Partner with marketing and brand teams to support the shift toward a younger, more frequent online buyer.
  • Use data and insight to improve performance, conversion, retention and overall digital effectiveness.
  • Build scalable processes across e-commerce, digital trading, merchandising and cross functional execution.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to shape the future operating model for digital and e-commerce.


Key Requirements

  • Director level e-commerce experience within a consumer focused business
  • Proven track record improving customer experience, conversion and digital growth
  • Strong commercial understanding across acquisition, retention, trading and digital performance
  • Comfortable operating strategically and hands on in a changing business
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders across marketing, brand, data and technology
