About the Role:
As a Senior PI Trial Attorney, you will lead complex plaintiff-side personal injury matters from litigation through trial or resolution. You will handle high-exposure cases, develop litigation strategy, mentor junior attorneys, and work closely with a dedicated support team built to maximize attorney efficiency and case movement.
This role is designed for attorneys who are confident managing demanding litigation, negotiating aggressively, and taking cases to verdict when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead plaintiff PI matters from litigation through settlement or trial
- Conduct jury trials, depositions, mediations, hearings, and negotiations
- Develop litigation and settlement strategy on high-value cases
- Manage court appearances, motions, and pre-trial proceedings
- Negotiate directly with insurance carriers and defense counsel
- Collaborate with dedicated litigation support staff and paralegals
- Review demand packages, pleadings, and case strategy
- Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to litigation team development
- Maintain strong client communication throughout case lifecycles
- Participate in firm strategy sessions and performance initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of plaintiff-side PI litigation experience
- 3+ first-chair PI jury trials taken to verdict
- Active Virginia bar license required
- Additional bar admission in Maryland, DC, New York, or Florida preferred
- Proven track record of settlements and verdicts
- Strong courtroom, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage complex and high-volume litigation matters
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred but not required
