Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior Associate Attorney with real estate law experience to join our client's legal team. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a reputable firm across a diverse range of legal areas, including real estate , estate planning, family law, banking/finance law, and more. As a Senior Associate Attorney, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive legal counsel, conducting in-depth research, drafting legal documents, and supporting litigation efforts, supported by paralegal and collaborative team. A book of business is highly preferred. Your expertise will help ensure the firm's compliance with applicable laws while advancing our strategic objectives. This position is ideal for a motivated professional eager to make a meaningful impact through innovative legal solutions and collaborative teamwork on a partner path. Strong business minded individual preferred, growth path is managing partner.

Duties

  • Strong business development skills, bring in own clients and obtain clients from firm
  • Lead complex legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and legal opinions
  • Draft and review a wide array of legal documents including contracts, pleadings, memoranda, and regulatory filings with precision and clarity
  • Provide expert guidance on estate planning, family law matters, trust/will matters, financial institutions
  • Negotiate settlements and legal agreements effectively to protect client interests and foster positive outcomes
  • Support litigation efforts by preparing case files, managing discovery processes, and representing clients in court proceedings when necessary
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with federal and state laws across multiple jurisdictions

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; active license to practice law in relevant jurisdictions (VA)
  • Proven experience in multiple practice areas including real estate, estate planning, family law, securities law, financial / banking law
  • Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms for comprehensive legal analysis
  • Exceptional writing skills demonstrated through clear legal drafting and effective communication of complex concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively while maintaining professionalism under pressure
  • Legal administrative experience including managing case files and maintaining accurate records
  • Proficiency in using legal research tools and case management software to streamline workflows
