Seasonal Facilities Groundskeeper

The Seasonal Groundskeeper is responsible for the daily upkeep of the property grounds, including picking up trash, lawn maintained, seasonal upkeep, and basic mechanical abilities for property equipment.  

• General knowledge of pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers used in landscaping and turf systems 

• General knowledge of automatic sprinkler systems 

• Must be able to operate mower, trimmers, snow blowers, vacuums, power washers, and all gardening tools 

• Ability to learn and comply with the laws and regulations affecting the casino and racing industry. 

• Excellent customer and employee relation’s skills 

• Must be able to read, speak, and write the English language

• Valid Driver’s license with clean MVR

• Ability to operate company equipment and vehicles· 

• Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards 

• Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment 
• Read, write, and understand complex instructions and appropriately complete all necessary documentation  

• Effective communication skills 

• Organize and run special projects to ensure their proper completion 

• Must consistently have a good attitude, be friendly, outgoing, provide excellent guest service and always work well with fellow employees 

• Maintain regular, predictable attendance in accordance with policy
