Our client is a leading energy and utilities organization undergoing a large-scale digital transformation initiative focused on modernizing customer service and Meter-to-Cash operations. Based out of Columbus, OH and Merrillville, IN, they are looking to hire an SAP Solution Delivery Lead / SAP Architect on a contract to hire basis.


This is an opportunity to play a key role in one of the most significant SAP transformation programs in the utility sector. The organization is investing heavily in SAP S/4HANA Utilities, SAP Service Cloud, SAP BTP, and modern integration technologies to transform customer experiences and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on SAP leader who thrives in complex enterprise environments, enjoys collaborating across multiple workstreams and vendors, and wants to influence the design and delivery of next-generation SAP solutions. You'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge SAP technologies, guide enterprise architecture decisions, and help shape the future-state operating model for a major utility provider.


Required Skills & Experience


  • 7+ years of SAP solution delivery experience including design, configuration, development, and integration
  • Experience supporting SAP implementations within large-scale, multi-vendor enterprise environments
  • Strong expertise with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Service Cloud, ABAP programming, SAP BTP, and related SAP technologies
  • Experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite, RESTful APIs, and middleware platforms
  • Knowledge of SAP security models, SAP GRC Access Control, and compliance requirements
  • Experience leading SAP testing activities including unit testing, SIT, UAT, regression, and performance testing
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and code quality tools
  • Experience with Jira, qTest, Agile delivery methodologies, and test management platforms
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
  • SAP certifications such as SAP Certified Associate or SAP Certified Professional
  • Utility or energy industry experience
  • Experience integrating SAP and non-SAP platforms including MuleSoft, IAM tools, and API architectures
  • Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Business Data Cloud
  • Familiarity with AI-powered SAP solutions and tools
  • Knowledge of enterprise data migration and SAP master data management
  • Understanding of utility regulatory compliance and customer data privacy requirements
  • Experience supporting organizational change management and user adoption initiatives

Daily Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on end-to-end SAP solution delivery supporting Meter-to-Cash (M2C) and Customer Service business processes
  • Lead SAP design, configuration, customization, and integration activities alongside internal and third-party teams
  • Oversee SAP RICEFW development activities and ensure alignment with program requirements
  • Guide testing efforts including unit testing, SIT, UAT, regression, and performance testing
  • Coordinate with implementation partners and vendors to ensure successful delivery and integration of SAP solutions
  • Support deployment, cutover, hypercare, and knowledge transfer activities
  • Ensure SAP security roles, access controls, and compliance requirements are properly designed, implemented, and validated
  • Promote SAP DevSecOps best practices including CI/CD automation, code scanning, testing, and security analysis
  • Facilitate collaboration across architecture, infrastructure, security, and business teams
  • Establish SAP monitoring and operational support standards including performance monitoring and error handling
  • Participate in governance, risk management, issue resolution, and executive status reporting
