The Business Analyst (BA) – Manufacturing & Supply Chain is an individual contributor role serving as the primary IT partner to plant operations and supply chain functions. This role supports manufacturing, planning, procurement, quality, EHS, plant maintenance, and OT adjacent processes while bridging business needs to IT delivery team
s.The Manufacturing & Supply Chain BA role will support current-state ECC operations while playing an active role in the design, testing, and deployment of future-state S/4HANA manufacturing and supply chain capabilities. The position operates within a hosted environment and works closely with MSPs and third party system integrators.
The Business Analyst (BA) – Quote-to-Cash is an individual contributor role responsible for partnering with commercial stakeholders to support the full customer lifecycle, from quoting through billing and trade compliance. This role spans Salesforce.com and SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) and serves as the bridge between business teams and IT delivery partners. Currently operates on SAP ECC and will transition to SAP S/4HANA within the next year.
The Quote -to-Cash BA role will support current ECC and Salesforce operations while actively contributing to the design and delivery of future-state S/4HANA quote-to-cash capabilities. The role operates in a hosted environment and collaborates closely with MSPs and third party vendors.
Qualifications:
Manufacturing & Supply Chain BA Position
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field
• Experience supporting SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA in manufacturing and supply chain domains.
• Experience with MES ecosystems and shop-floor/OT adjacent processes.
• Participation in multiple end-to-end SAP projects.
• Experience working with global teams, onshore/offshore resources, and MSPs.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements & business processes into technical deliverables and influence without authority.
Quote-to-Cash BA Position:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field
• Experience supporting Salesforce.com and SAP SD in ECC and/or S/4HANA landscapes.
• Experience with pricing and global trade processes.
• Participation in multiple end-to-end SAP and/or Salesforce projects.
• Experience working with MSPs, offshore teams, and global stakeholders.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements & business processes into technical deliverables and influence without authority.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities for the Manufacturing & Supply Chain BA position include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Serve as the primary IT interface for manufacturing plants and supply chain stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with plant leadership through regular engagement and operational understanding.
• Translate operational priorities (throughput, service, quality, safety, cost, uptime) into structured IT demand and roadmaps.
• Lead discovery and documentation of current and future-state manufacturing and supply chain processes.
• Develop functional requirements, process flows, and acceptance criteria for SAP and integrated manufacturing systems.
• Translate shop-floor and supply chain requirements into clear deliverables for onshore, offshore, and MSP teams.
• Provide functional leadership across:
o Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) concepts and ERP integration
o Planning & MRP concepts
o Procurement and supplier interaction concepts
o Quality Management concepts
o EHS reporting and compliance concepts
o Plant Maintenance and asset management concepts
o OT / shop-floor integration considerations
• Coordinate closely with Finance, Sales, and Logistics counterparts on end-to-end process impacts.
• Support ECC enhancements and operational stability while contributing to S/4HANA transformation activities, including process harmonization, testing, and deployment readiness.
• Participate in UAT planning and execution for plant-facing capabilities.
• Support cutover activities and hypercare in coordination with project teams and MSP partners.
• Work closely with third-party providers on solution delivery, incident management, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure clear accountability, requirement clarity, and alignment to SLAs.
The responsibilities of the Quote-to-Cash BA position include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Act as the primary IT partner for Sales, Customer Service, and Commercial Operations.
• Translate commercial strategy into executable IT demand, roadmaps, and backlogs.
• Facilitate workshops to align on process improvements, standardization, and system enhancements.
• Elicit and document business requirements across the quote-to-cash lifecycle.
• Translate requirements into clear functional specifications and user stories for Salesforce and SAP teams.
• Partner with architects and technical leads to define integration and data flows across CRM, ERP, and downstream systems.
• Functional Ownership – Salesforce & SAP SD
• Provide functional leadership across:
o Salesforce.com: accounts, opportunities, quoting/CPQ concepts, workflows, reporting
o SAP SD: order management, deliveries, billing, returns
o Pricing: pricing conditions, discounting, agreements, margin visibility
o Global Trade: compliance, export controls, cross-border requirements
• Coordinate closely with Finance, Supply Chain, and master data teams.
• Support ECC-based quote-to-cash processes while contributing to S/4HANA transformation activities, including process redesign, testing, and cutover readiness.
• Lead UAT efforts and support hypercare post-deployment.
• Partner with third-party providers for delivery, incident resolution, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure requirements clarity, delivery quality, and alignment with service expectations.
