Account Manager / Sales Operations – Food Manufacturing (Co-Man)

Chicago, IL | $120k–$150k + bonus + upside

Most roles like this sit on the periphery of the business.

This one sits right at the centre.

The Business

A high-growth food manufacturing platform supporting emerging and established brands across:

  • Retail
  • Club
  • Direct-to-consumer

Focused on better-for-you, clean label, and functional food categories, the business partners with brands that don’t fit traditional manufacturing models — offering flexibility, speed, and true collaboration.

Growth has been strong and consistent.

Now the focus is on scaling with greater precision, structure, and alignment.

The Role

This isn’t a traditional Account Manager position.

You’ll operate at the intersection of:

  • Customer
  • Sales
  • Supply Chain
  • Production
  • Finance

Ensuring what’s promised commercially is executed operationally — efficiently and profitably.

You’ll:

  • Own key co-manufacturing and private label accounts end-to-end
  • Align customer demand with production capability
  • Lead commercialization of new products and launches
  • Coordinate forecasting, planning, and inventory decisions
  • Act as the internal voice of the customer — and the external voice of the operation

This is a highly visible role with real influence across the business.

The Opportunity

As the business continues to grow, there’s a clear opportunity to:

  • Strengthen forecasting and planning alignment
  • Enhance cross-functional coordination
  • Bring greater consistency to customer execution
  • Support scalable, repeatable ways of working

You’ll play a central role in shaping how that evolves.

What They’re Looking For

You’ll likely bring:

  • Experience within food or beverage manufacturing (essential)
  • Exposure to co-manufacturing or complex SKU environments (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of how supply chain, production, and customer requirements connect
  • Confidence operating cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders
  • A track record of improving processes, not just managing them

This suits someone who enjoys both:

  • Being close to day-to-day execution
  • Thinking about how to continuously improve it

Why It’s Worth Considering

  • High-growth platform in the better-for-you / clean label space
  • Broad, end-to-end ownership across accounts and operations
  • Opportunity to influence how the function scales
  • Exposure to innovative, emerging brands and products
  • Leadership team open to evolving and improving how things are done

Compensation

  • $120k–$150k base
  • Bonus (20%)
  • Equity potential

If you’re looking for a role where you can connect commercial ambition with operational delivery — within one of the most dynamic areas of food manufacturing — this is worth a conversation.
