What You’ll Do

The Rural Health Transformation Project Coordinator will serve as the central hub for coordination and documentation across the Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS) EMS division's rural health transformation activities under the GROW: Cultivating Hoosier Health / Rural Health Transformation Program.


In this role, you will focus on facilitating communication, organizing meetings, tracking progress, and ensuring alignment across multiple divisions and stakeholders. You will lead and work closely with IDHS EMS staff, IDOH, and other state and regional partners engaged in rural health transformation efforts. This position is a critical operational support role, and its success depends on strong organizational discipline, clear documentation, and consistent follow-through.


Interagency Coordination

  • Serve as the primary liaison between IDHS EMS and other state agencies for rural health transformation efforts.
  • Coordinate interagency meetings, agendas, and follow-up actions.
  • Facilitate communication among stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment.
  • Assist with scheduling, logistics, and documentation for workgroups and committees.

Project Tracking & Documentation

  • Maintain project documentation, including timelines, deliverables, and status reports.
  • Track progress on initiatives and provide regular updates to leadership.
  • Identify coordination challenges and escalate issues to leadership as needed.

Reporting & Communications

  • Support preparation of reports, presentations, and briefing materials for leadership and partners.

Requirements

  • Strong project coordination in EMS, healthcare coordination, public health, or government program support
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across agencies

Highly Desired:

  • Familiarity with Indiana's rural healthcare and EMS systems
