The opportunity

Delaware North is hiring a Regional Director of Procurement to join our team in Buffalo, New York. As the Regional Director of Procurement, you will oversee the development of field-level procurement, inclusive of buying, warehouse management, and inventory control functions within the assigned region. Additionally, you will lead the procurement efforts related to new unit openings and large event planning and support.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $132,100 - $178,400 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?

  • Guide buying processes such as purveyor development, menu and recipe costing assistance, local pricing agreements, forecasting process, etc.
  • Coach the operations in best practice for warehouse management, including receiving, storage, and distribution operating procedure management
  • Inventory control analysis and process adherence, inclusive of tracking of inventory level turn guidance, in-season / off-season levels, and full management of purposeful purchasing processes that manage purchases versus sales
  • Ensure procurement systems are managed at location levels appropriately and in sync with operating processes
  • Assist operations leadership with hiring for roles with dotted line reporting to guide best practices
  • Assist and train, inclusive of full build, new account, and/or new procurement systems, to ensure correct utilization is available
  • Provide support for large and major events from strategy planning through event execution to ensure appropriate procurement management is in place

More about you

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain, finance, accounting, economics, or related field required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a procurement role with extensive hospitality, buying, and category management experience
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience negotiating commercial terms and service level agreements
  • Must be willing to travel 25-30% to effectively support business operations across the enterprise
