Director of Procurement

***MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE HOUSING OR CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRIES***

A high-growth, vertically integrated real estate investment and development platform is seeking a Director of Procurement to build and scale procurement strategy across a national development pipeline.

This role will lead category strategy, enterprise sourcing, and supplier program development—partnering closely with Construction, Development, and Design to drive cost optimization, reduce risk, and improve consistency across projects.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and execute multi-year category strategies for construction materials and standards
• Lead enterprise-wide RFPs and complex negotiations
• Build and manage national and regional supplier programs, including SLAs, KPIs, and scorecards
• Analyze portfolio-wide spend to identify cost savings and standardization opportunities
• Establish procurement governance, SOPs, and workflows
• Partner cross-functionally to align sourcing strategies with development goals

What You Bring

• 7–10+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience within construction or capital projects
• Proven track record leading high-value negotiations and RFPs
• Experience building or managing supplier programs across multiple sites or projects
• Strong analytical and data-driven mindset (Excel/BI tools)
• Ability to influence stakeholders across functions and levels
• Experience in multifamily, student housing, or related sectors is a plus
