Position Overview:

We are seeking a full-time Corporate Counsel / Real Estate Counsel to support a growing company’s legal and transactional needs. The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years of experience handling commercial real estate leases, purchase and sale agreements, commission and listing agreements, contract drafting and negotiation, and general corporate legal matters. This role will also coordinate with outside counsel on litigation, subpoenas, disputes, and other legal proceedings. The successful candidate is business-minded, practical, responsive, and comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. J.D. degree and active bar membership required.


Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial real estate leases, amendments, commission agreements, listing agreements, renewals, and additional related agreements
  • Draft and negotiate a variety of business and commercial contracts
  • Provide day-to-day legal guidance to leadership and internal teams on operational and business matters
  • Collaborate with internal Beta Agency teams and corporate clients to support and oversee transaction management activities across multiple accounts
  • Coordinate and manage outside counsel on litigation, disputes, subpoenas, demand letters, employment matters, and other legal proceedings
  • Assist with risk management, legal compliance, and corporate governance matters
  • Identify legal and operational risks and provide practical business-oriented solutions
  • Support strategic business initiatives, partnerships, and growth opportunities
  • Maintain organized legal records, contract management processes, and documentation

Qualifications

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school
  • Active bar membership in good standing
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably from a law firm and/or in-house legal department
  • Strong background in commercial real estate transactions and contract negotiation
  • Experience handling leases, purchase and sale agreements, commission and listing agreements and general corporate matters
  • Ability to manage outside counsel and legal projects efficiently
  • Strong business judgment and ability to provide practical, solution-oriented advice
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as in a team-based environment to serve corporate accounts.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
