Quality Systems Manager

Focus
- Lead sitewide quality systems for a regulated manufacturing operation, ensuring processes, records, and finished goods align with internal standards and external requirements
- Direct audit readiness, nonconformance review, CAPA follow up, and documentation practices that support a disciplined, inspection ready culture
- Partner with production, maintenance, and cross functional leaders to investigate issues, strengthen root cause response, and prevent repeat events
- Support food safety and compliance programs tied to sanitation, environmental monitoring, validation activity, and supplier quality performance
- Coach and develop quality personnel, building capability in training, escalation, and day-to-day execution
- Use metrics and trend data to identify improvement opportunities and help the site scale with consistency
Ideal Background
- 5 plus years experience of quality leadership within food, beverage, packaging, plastics, consumer products, or another regulated manufacturing setting
- Working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, CAPA, audits, and structured quality systems, FDA environment helpful
- Experience leading or mentoring quality staff in a plant setting
- Comfortable working closely with operations and production teams to drive alignment and results
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor degree in a related technical field is helpful, though equivalent industry experience can also be valuable
