I. SUMMARY

Strata Products Worldwide, LLC (Strata) is a global leader in industrial safety and connected solutions that promote a safer, more productive working environment. Headquartered in Atlanta, GA., Strata provides engineering, service, and sales support to the regions of the U.S., Europe, Australia, South Africa, South America, and Mexico.

Strata offers a state-of-the-art electronic safety platform, that includes: Completely wireless communications and tracking, post-emergency communications, proximity detection and collision avoidance, ventilation and conveyor monitoring, and Wi-Fi systems as well as cellular LTE. Additionally, Strata specializes in the design and manufacturing of emergency refuge chambers, and specialized construction products.


The Quality Engineer will be responsible for maintaining a system of quality and reliability for the organization's products and overseeing the quality of processes and outputs to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with ISO standards.


II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain, monitor and continuously update the Quality Management Systems in line with ISO 9001:2015 and other relevant standards
  • Conduct audits, both internal and external, to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement
  • Participate in the ISO certification processes and maintain documentation and records to support certification and compliance efforts
  • Analyze data to identify trends and drive process improvements
  • Monitor internal repair processes and maintain history of repairs
  • Oversee and update the RMA process and report on trends
  • Lead Corrective Action process
  • Monitor and audit the quality systems of contract manufacturers and component suppliers
  • Oversee the quality of both in-house and contract-manufactured products to ensure they meet customer and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate the Quality Management System into the overall business strategy
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of management, staff, and external stakeholders regarding quality issues and initiatives
  • Assist with the development of new processes (repair, RMA, inspection, etc.) as new products are developed


III. QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in quality management within the industrial tech/manufacturing sector
  • Demonstrated experience with ISO certification processes and quality management systems


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities


  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • Experience in managing quality in contract manufacturing environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships with stakeholders
  • Familiarity with inspection tools (calipers, etc.) and basic hand tools

Location

Canonsburg, PA


Travel Requirements

The incumbent may be required to travel as needed to audit or qualify manufacturers within the USA and occasional international travel. Trips will likely require overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.

Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to perform general physical exertions, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting materials or equipment.


Work Environment

Typical work environment. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.
