Our client is currently seeking a QUALITY ASSURANCE Manager in Oregon.

The FSQA Manager collaborates closely with plant operations, maintenance, R&D, senior leadership, and corporate compliance teams. Responsibilities include managing the FSQA department/team, sanitation programs, product specifications, and overall quality systems.

Key duties include:

  • Monitoring FSQA system effectiveness through internal audits, document reviews, and performance reporting against key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Interfacing with regulatory agencies, third-party auditors, certification bodies, and customers; staying current with FSMA requirements and preventive controls.
  • Maintaining SQF certification (achieving scores to satisfy customer needs) and ensuring full regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop FSQA strategy, compliance goals, objectives, and KPIs to foster continuous improvement in food safety, quality programs, and culture.
  • Organize and maintain FSQA systems/programs, conduct required reviews/audits to meet corporate standards, SQF certification, and regulatory obligations.
  • Implement monitoring programs and documentation, including validations and verifications.

Education and Experience

  • Required: B.S. degree in Food Science, Food Safety & Defense, or a related field.
  • Required: Minimum 5+ years of experience in Food Safety & Quality Assurance management within the food industry.
