Jr. Purchasing Clerk

Location: Onsite - Leominster MA area

Schedule: Full-Time | 30+ Hours Per Week

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per Hour


About the Opportunity

Revere Staffing Partners is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Clerk for one of our manufacturing clients. This position will play a key role in supporting purchasing, inventory management, vendor relations, and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have prior purchasing experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively across multiple departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process purchase requisitions from department managers and generate purchase orders for vendors.
  • Work closely with suppliers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve purchasing and delivery issues.
  • Issue purchase orders as needed to maintain inventory levels and support production requirements.
  • Forecast raw material needs and assist with inventory planning.
  • Coordinate with supervisors to replenish inventory, order production materials, and purchase office supplies.
  • Analyze inventory levels daily, weekly, and monthly to establish and maintain reorder points.
  • Collaborate with production and other departments to reduce raw material shortages and supply chain disruptions.
  • Verify receipt of goods by comparing items received against purchase orders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new vendors.
  • Research supplier pricing and negotiate cost-saving opportunities whenever possible.
  • Set up new vendors and assign appropriate categories within company systems.
  • Complete reports and special projects as requested by management.
  • Assist the Accounting Manager with additional accounting and administrative functions as needed.


Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 2 years of purchasing experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with numerical data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.


Preferred

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with ERP software.
  • Experience with inventory management software.
  • Background in inventory control, procurement, or supply chain operations.
