Job Description

The Project Manager will oversee in-field commissioning and construction activities, ensuring that all installations comply with owner standards, approved drawings, and project specifications. The role involves supervising the installation of electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment, and verifying the quality and safety of contractor work to prepare for commissioning and startup activities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and verify the installation of electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment.
  • Monitor installation of engines, control panels, field instrumentation, and associated electrical systems.
  • Serve as the on-site I&E Supervisor, addressing technical queries from contractors and resolving field issues.
  • Oversee PLC and control system wiring activities, ensuring oversight and verification.
  • Inspect contractor work for quality, safety, and readiness for commissioning and startup.
  • Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and project management teams to support system turnover and commissioning schedules.
  • Support field commissioning activities, including pre-commissioning checks, system verification, and punch list resolution.
  • Participate in drawing reviews, including IFC drawings, electrical schematics, loop diagrams, and control narratives.
  • Support project takeoffs, estimates, and proposal development.
  • Review contractor submittals, work packages, and technical documentation for project alignment.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of commissioning documentation, installation checklists, and turnover packages.
  • Communicate field-driven changes or issues back to engineering and project teams.

  • Compressor package experience preferred
Work Environment

The role involves working in an office setting overseeing projects, as well as traveling to the field for work verifications and client interfacing. The candidate must manage internal resources and materials effectively. The position is a 12-month contract to hire as a salaried consultant, eligible for standard holiday and vacation packages, and involves direct reporting to the President and Principal of the company.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belle Chasse, LA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
