Production Worker

This role supports a machine operator in a paper converting facility, working as part of a collaborative team to convert large rolls of tissue into finished facial tissue products. You will be trained in every step of the converting process with a clear path to grow into a lead operator position. This is an active, on-your-feet role in a clean, temperature-controlled environment on an 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist the machine operator with daily production tasks throughout the converting process.
• Support the setup, operation, and monitoring of converting and rewinding machines.
• Perform packaging activities for finished facial tissue products, including boxed and travel-size packages.
• Help with inspection of products to ensure quality and consistency.
• Participate in paper converting operations, including handling large rolls of tissue and finished goods.
• Perform picking tasks and move materials as needed within the warehouse and production areas.
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including machines and surrounding space.
• Work effectively as part of a team to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent production schedules.
• Actively engage in training to learn all phases of the converting process and prepare for advancement to a lead operator role.

• At least 6 months of manufacturing experience within the last 2 years.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds consistently throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, squat, and rotate for the full duration of the shift.
• Comfort working around machinery and in a production environment.
• Basic ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Strong reliability and consistent attendance, supported by references.

• Previous manufacturing or production experience beyond the minimum requirement.
• Experience with machine operation, machine operating, or assisting machine operators.
• Background in paper converting, packaging, rewind operations, inspection, or picking is beneficial.
• High school diploma is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn new processes and develop into a higher-level operator role.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

The role is based in a newer, very clean building equipped with modern converting and rewinding machines. The facility has ample space dedicated to warehousing large rolls of tissue and boxes of finished products. The environment is temperature controlled and kept at a comfortable level throughout the shift. There is some machine noise, but it is manageable; hearing protection is available for those who prefer it. Work is active and performed on your feet for an 8-hour shift, with frequent lifting up to 30 pounds and regular bending, twisting, squatting, and rotating. Shifts are structured as 1st shift from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 3rd shift from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., operating in a production and warehouse setting focused on converting large tissue rolls into boxed and travel-size facial tissue products. Dress is typical for a light industrial manufacturing environment, prioritizing safety and comfort.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Kaukauna, WI.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Kaukauna,WI.
