Production Operator – Multiple Shifts Available

Overview

We’re hiring Production Operators to support daily manufacturing operations in a high-volume metal finishing facility. This is a hands-on role ideal for candidates who enjoy physical work, following detailed processes, and building a long-term career in aerospace manufacturing. After 90 days, employees are eligible to join the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW). Union and non-union employees receive the same benefits package.

What You’ll Do
  • Load and unload metal components onto racks for processing
  • Support production flow by staging and moving parts throughout the facility
  • Follow process instructions to prep steel components for chrome plating
  • Assist experienced Chrome Platers with wiring and setup tasks
  • Operate sandblasting equipment to prepare parts for finishing
  • Use anodizing systems and gantry-style lifting equipment during processing
  • Perform general shop support duties, including cleanup and organization
  • Maintain quality and accuracy while meeting production demands
  • Safely lift, carry, and position parts weighing up to 50 lbs
What We’re Looking For
  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment
  • Comfort standing for long periods and working around industrial chemicals
  • Willingness to rotate between tasks as production needs change
  • Previous machine operation experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and basic problem-solving skills
  • Interest in long-term growth within the aerospace or manufacturing industry

  • Assembly or production line work
  • General shop or warehouse experience
  • Basic math skills

Work Setting

You’ll work in a modern, spacious plating facility serving Aerospace, Defense, Commercial, and Electronics customers. The operation emphasizes Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement, ensuring efficient workflows and consistent quality. This role is physically active and involves routine exposure to production equipment and chemical processes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.10 - $22.10/hr.
