Job Description

Conventional Machinist needed for large composite aerospace company in Santa Ana, CA at brand-new facility. Seeking a dedicated professional to operate conventional lathe and milling machines during the day shift from 5am to 1:30pm. Pay will be based on experience but typically $28-$30 an hour (option for higher with experience). Open to candidates wanting to grow machining experience as well that are open to be trained.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain lathes and milling machines for accurate production.
• Review drawings or samples to ensure precision in manufacturing.
• Take precise measurements for cutting and shaping tasks using the correct machine settings.
• Set up and operate conventional lathes and mill machines.
• Utilize applicable attachments for lathes and mills, such as turn tables and tool post grinders.
• Set up and operate horizontal and vertical band saws, shop saws, drill presses, and hydraulic lifts.
• Ensure the safe operation of all machining activities in the machine shop.
• Instruct puller for any special details required.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in inspecting using calipers and micrometers.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience in manual lathe machining, particularly in a conventional setting.

This is a Permanent position based out of Santa Ana, CA.

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $62400.00/yr.
