About the Opportunity

A well-established, founder-led fine jewelry manufacturer is seeking a Product Development Assistant to support new product execution, costing validation, overseas factory coordination, and product development initiatives from concept through production.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on fine jewelry manufacturing experience who enjoys working cross-functionally and helping bring new products to market. The ideal candidate understands how fine gold jewelry is made, can review CADs and vendor quotes with confidence, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


What You'll Do

  • Support product development projects from concept through production
  • Review vendor quotes, costing sheets, and product specifications for accuracy
  • Analyze CAD files and identify discrepancies or missing information
  • Coordinate directly with overseas manufacturing partners and vendors
  • Track development timelines, revisions, samples, and production updates
  • Partner closely with merchandising, inventory, production, and operations teams
  • Maintain accurate product, costing, and development records across systems
  • Assist with process improvements and operational efficiencies within the product development function
  • Help ensure products are delivered on time, within specification, and aligned with business objectives


What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in fine jewelry manufacturing, product development, or vendor costing
  • Strong understanding of fine gold jewelry construction and manufacturing processes
  • Experience working directly with overseas factories and manufacturing partners
  • Ability to review and validate vendor quotes, costing sheets, and CAD renderings
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related business systems
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within a wholesale fine jewelry environment
  • Exposure to ERP, inventory management, or production tracking systems
  • Experience supporting multiple product development initiatives in parallel
