The Product Data & Digital Asset Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of product data and digital assets across the systems and platforms Marc Fisher Footwear runs on. This entry-level role plays a critical part in maintaining product information, managing digital assets, and supporting the needs of the sales team. Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams are essential.
The right candidate will not stay still in this role. Product data management at Marc Fisher Footwear is going through a period of meaningful change, with new systems, new processes, and new AI-driven tools coming online. The Specialist is expected to learn the work end to end and then help lead process change and automation in partnership with IT and our Marc Fisher Intelligence (MFI) platform. Over time, the right person can move beyond day-to-day data maintenance into a role that shapes how product data is created, governed, and used across the business.
This position works out of our Greenwich, Connecticut office on a hybrid schedule (3 days in office/2 days WFH) and reports to the Manager, Supply Chain Systems.
Core Responsibilities
Product Data Maintenance
- Enter and update style data in wholesale, retail, and web systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency across platforms.
- Enter and maintain styles and prepacks in Blue Cherry ERP, following established protocols and procedures.
- Track and verify the quality of data from all sources, conducting regular audits to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Resolve issues affecting the accuracy and integrity of product data, partnering with relevant stakeholders to address problems promptly.
Digital Asset Management
- Monitor and report missing photography, proactively identifying gaps in digital assets and coordinating with the appropriate teams to obtain or create missing assets.
- Process and distribute advertising photography to retail customers, adhering to timelines and specifications provided by the marketing and sales teams.
- Perform Salsify channel configuration and maintenance, ensuring that product information is accurately represented across all channels and platforms.
Sales & Stakeholder Support
- Manage and process ad hoc requests from the sales team, providing timely support and assistance as needed.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by the manager or departmental leadership, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Process Improvement & Automation (Growth Track)
- Learn the end-to-end product data workflow, including upstream design and downstream wholesale, retail, and e-commerce consumption.
- Identify recurring manual work, data quality gaps, and process friction, and bring forward candidates for automation.
- Partner with the IT and AI Engineering team to scope, test, and roll out AI-assisted workflows on the Marc Fisher Intelligence (MFI) platform, including areas such as style naming, color coding, labeling, and product attribution.
- Help build and maintain the documentation, business rules, and data standards that make automation possible and sustainable.
- Over time, take ownership of one or more process improvement initiatives end to end, from problem definition through rollout and adoption.
Qualifications
Required
- Prior experience in an office setting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies effectively.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Curiosity about how data and systems work and a genuine interest in improving them.
Preferred
- Prior experience in a similar role, preferably within the retail or wholesale footwear industry.
- Exposure to ERP systems, preferably Blue Cherry.
- Experience with product information management (PIM) platforms such as Salsify.
- Familiarity with product data management principles and best practices.
- Exposure to AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot for everyday work.
- Interest in process automation, workflow design, or low-code tooling.
