Position Summary
Growing manufacturing company in the Austin metropolitan area is looking for a Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist to join their team on a direct hire basis. Exciting company with a bright future, in an established industry poised for significant growth over the foreseeable future. This position will be responsible for procurement and negotiation of materials, components, equipment, supplies, and services that meet quality standards. This role will manage planning requirements and supply chain activities to ensure timely delivery of goods and services within budget. The position requires independent judgment, strong planning capabilities, and the ability to execute effectively.
Hybrid Work Opportunity: Work from home two days and three days onsite per week
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement
- Support the development and execution of purchasing strategies for raw materials, components, and services used in advanced medical products
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to forecast demand and optimize inventory
Supplier Management
- Identify and evaluate suppliers aligned with innovation and compliance standards
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure reliability and cost efficiency
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure procurement activities meet all regulatory and compliance requirements
- Monitor supplier performance and support quality audits as needed
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with operations, R&D, sourcing, and finance teams to support product development and launch timelines
Reporting & Analytics
- Track KPIs, cost savings, and supplier performance metrics
- Maintain accurate records and reporting through ERP systems
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of purchasing experience in a regulated industry
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., FDA, ISO)
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
- Travel Requirements
- Up to 25%

- Professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CPM)
