Primavera P6 Project Scheduler – Commercial Construction

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Primavera P6 Scheduler to support large‑scale commercial construction projects, including data‑center builds. This role partners closely with Project Managers and field leadership to develop, maintain, and analyze detailed project schedules, ensuring timely delivery and effective resource management. This is a contract‑to‑hire opportunity with strong potential for long‑term growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Primavera P6 project schedules from project kickoff through closeout
  • Build schedules from scratch, including WBS structures, logic ties, milestones, and CPM analysis
  • Manage workload distribution and monitor customer delivery and job‑site installation progress
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field leads to ensure schedule accuracy
  • Identify, analyze, and proactively report schedule risks or variances
  • Support weekly and monthly project reporting, providing schedule metrics and critical path updates
  • Track milestones, critical activities, and progress against contractual deadlines
  • Perform schedule impact analysis and recommend corrective actions as needed
  • Support earned value analysis and resource loading when required
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of hands‑on experience using Primavera P6
  • Prior scheduling experience within commercial construction environments
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Critical Path Method (CPM)
    • Activity relationships and constraints
    • Milestones and open‑ended activities
    • Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
  • Ability to build, update, and clearly explain P6 schedules
  • Experience coordinating schedules with field operations and project leadership
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documentation
Preferred Skills
  • Experience supporting data center construction projects
  • Familiarity with EPS, nodes, schedule levels, earned value reporting, and resource setup in P6
  • Comfortable creating schedule summaries and supporting executive‑level reporting
  • Proactive, self‑motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities
Work Environment
  • Initial remote work period (approximately first few months)
  • On‑site presence required
  • Fast‑paced construction environment with firm deadlines
Additional Requirements
  • Drug screening required
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aiken, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
