What to Expect

As a Project Controls Scheduler, you’ll be fully integrated into the Project Controls team and play a key role in supporting project delivery. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop, update, and maintain P6 schedules, while also helping create clear, meaningful reports that leadership and project teams can actually use.


Day to Day

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining fully integrated, resource‑loaded schedules across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning
  • Tracking the critical path and monitoring overall project performance
  • Analyzing schedule and project data and turning it into actionable insights
  • Developing “what‑if” scenarios to evaluate alternative paths, improve timelines, and reduce schedule or cost risk
  • Keeping schedules and planning tools up to date on a weekly basis across multiple programs
  • Communicating risks, challenges, and wins clearly and effectively
  • Supporting field teams with 3‑week look‑ahead schedules
  • Helping train and mentor team members on scheduling best practices to support consistent reporting


Must Haves

  • 3–10 years of scheduling or planning experience on large commercial, industrial, mining, government, or oil & gas construction projects
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Primavera P6 (required)
  • Solid Excel skills
  • Experience with Critical Path Methodology and Earned Value Management, including schedule reporting and mitigation efforts
  • Ability to perform well in a fast‑paced, high‑performance team environment


Pluses

  • Power BI experience
  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Business, or equivalent experience
