Web City Construction (WCC) is our new MBE-certified commercial construction division focused on doing commercial finish-out subcontracting with a goal to graduate into being a general contractor that has the capacity to develop large residential and flex projects across Texas.


Job Description

This is a role for someone looking to be a partner, owner, and builder of a commercial construction company - if you are looking to be just be an employee, this is not the right position for you.

Our goal is to find a Head of Construction who will begin by establishing our firm as a respected commercial finish-out subcontractor in DFW including building out the GC relationship base, developing our team, and establishing key processes.

Our long-term goal is to build the division into a self-performing general contractor on Web City's own development pipeline and other similar third-party work including single-family subdivisions, multifamily, industrial, and flex projects.

You will own strategy, execution, hiring, business development, and P&L for the division. The CEO has the capital, team, and development pipeline to grow this into a high-powered machine.


Responsibilities

  • Define and execute WCC's growth strategy
  • Build and manage the GC, Developer, and Owner relationship base across DFW
  • Lead estimating, preconstruction, and bid strategy
  • Direct project management, scheduling, quality, and safety on active projects
  • Build and manage the subcontractor and trade partner network
  • Recruit, hire, and develop project managers, superintendents, and field staff as needed
  • Own contract structure, change orders, bonding, insurance, and risk management
  • Manage relationships with municipalities, lenders, architects, and inspectors
  • Drive on-time, on-budget project delivery and division P&L


Qualifications

  • 10+ years in commercial construction, with at least 3 years in senior leadership (Senior PM, Project Executive, Director of Construction, VP Operations, or owner)
  • Demonstrated experience leading both commercial finish-out/TI work and ground-up projects ($5M+)
  • Deep, active DFW subcontractor and GC relationships
  • Strong financial fluency: estimating, schedule of values, cost-to-complete, lender draw management
  • Track record of hiring and building construction teams from the ground up
  • Construction Management degree, OSHA 30, or equivalent credentials preferred


Compensation

  • Base salary: $140,000 – $160,000 depending on experience
  • Project performance bonuses on delivered work, earned as a percentage of gross profit on each project successfully completed on or under budget
  • Pipeline and division performance incentives tied to annual revenue and margin targets
  • Long-term ownership participation is on the table for the right operator, structured and formalized after a defined performance period


Year 1 cash compensation realistically targets $180K–$200K all-in depending on division ramp. The long-term upside for the right operator is meaningful and structured to reflect the contribution to building the division.
