Your new company:
Mixed commercial general contractor in growth mode are looking to hire a Senior Project Manager to bolster their project management team. This role would appeal to an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager that is looking for career development into a Project Executive or Director level role in the next 1-2 years. Looking to connect with construction Project Managers that are excited about being at the forefront of helping a company grow and implement new SOPs, whilst benefiting their career development.
Your new role:
The projects you will be working on could range from $5M - $25M including complex renovations and new construction projects across Commercial TI, Education, Retail, Office, Multifamily and Healthcare sectors. You will need to be flexible to work on projects inside the beltway with a focus in DC and VA.
Core responsibilities:
- Have involvement in the preconstruction phase, all projects are on negotiated contracts.
- Solicit, coordinate, and manage subcontractors.
- Control the project budgets including creating and managing the budget through the project cycle.
- Attend and hold progress meetings with the client and all associated parties in attendance.
- Prepare and manage submittals, change orders, RFIs throughout projects.
- Manage project invoicing alongside project accounting.
- Work alongside the field management team and help provide them support throughout the project delivery.
- Position reports into a Vice President.
What you need to succeed:
- 8+ years of Construction experience working for a commercial construction general contractor as an Assistant Project Manager or Junior Project Manager.
- Commercial Construction base build OR complex renovation projects.
- A construction related degree such as engineering, architecture or construction management is desired but not essential.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Project, Excel and Word.
- Must be US Citizens, no sponsorship opportunities on this particular opportunity.
- Must live in close proximity to the office and projects in Northern Virginia and Washington DC and be comfortable working on a construction job site.

- Base salary range of $140,000 - $170,000, assessed on experience in the commercial construction space.
