-Highly automated Plant with only 50 employees

-Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resources allocation, human resources, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.


Position Summary

The Plant Manager provides the leadership and direction to the Operations team. They will manage all site operation-related functions in the safest and most effective manner, ensuring the highest level of quality is maintained, including managing all functions affecting plant productivity, operational efficiency, costs, and customer delivery targets.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develops strategies to achieve operational objectives for daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets.
  • Responsible for meeting specific productivity and financial objectives, including variable costs related to direct and indirect labor, supplies, maintenance, and utilities.
  • Ensures consistent operational procedures and quality standards are implemented and followed throughout the manufacturing process and implements manufacturing improvements.
  • Identifies new opportunities and associated initiatives that will drive optimization in the process and manufacturing methodologies.
  • Achieves manufacturing excellence through continuous improvement techniques as determined by industry standards, market competition, and internal corporate benchmarks. Maintains operational pipeline initiatives and drives accountability to meet targets.


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of operations management experience, strong preference for aerospace manufacturing.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of machinery and FTI products being manufactured.
  • Knowledge of materials management and material flow.
  • Knowledge of SixSigma, 6S, and Continuous Improvement tools preferred.
  • Ability to monitor and assess performance of others and partner with Human Resources to make improvements or take corrective action.
