Senior Plant Manager

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Plant Manager to lead two food manufacturing facilities in Northern New England. Location: Preference for candidates within commuting distance of the Portland, ME area or Southern NH. Relocation assistance may be provided for the right candidate.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee operations across two facilities, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and production goals.
  • Maintain a highly visible, hands-on leadership presence on the production floor
  • Develop and manage multi-site budgets, capital planning, and cost reduction initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on productivity, waste reduction, and operational efficiency
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards, including FDA, FSMA, GMP, HACCP, OSHA, and environmental requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and HR to achieve business objectives
  • Lead, coach, and develop direct reports, fostering a high-performing, results-driven culture
  • Promote effective communication and collaboration across multiple sites
  • Champion a safe, compliant, and positive work environment


Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in a fast paced/high volume Food and Beverage manufacturing environment
  • Experience managing 24/7 manufacturing operations
  • Proven leadership experience in manufacturing across multiple sites or large-scale operations
  • Strong background in budgeting, planning, and cost management
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing processing, packaging, and transportation operations
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems
  • Must be within driving distance of Portland, ME or Southern NH. Relocation may be considered for candidates with strong ties to the area.
