Position Overview:

A healthcare facility in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an experienced Pharmacist for a full-time contract assignment. This role supports pharmacy operations within a clinical setting and is ideal for a pharmacist with experience in medication dispensing systems, sterile processing, and IV room operations. The position offers a consistent full-time schedule for the duration of the assignment.

Schedule:

• Five (5) shifts per week
• 8-hour shifts
• 40 hours per week

Assignment Dates:

• Start Date: July 1, 2026
• End Date: October 3, 2026

Responsibilities:

• Review, prepare, and dispense medications in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Ensure accurate and safe medication distribution
• Utilize pharmacy dispensing systems and Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
• Perform or assist with sterile processing and IV room activities
• Maintain compliance with New York State pharmacy regulations and facility policies
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient care

Required Qualifications:

• Active New York State Pharmacist license (NYSED) – Primary Source Verification required
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or higher
• Minimum one (1) year of Pharmacist experience
• Experience with pharmacy dispensing systems
• Knowledge of sterile processing and IV room operations
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
