Certified Payroll Specialist

Location: Greater Sacramento area (onsite)


We are partnering with a well-established organization to identify a Certified Payroll Specialist to support construction projects with prevailing wage requirements. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process certified payroll reports in compliance with all applicable regulations
  • Audit and verify payroll data, resolving discrepancies as needed
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data in alignment with internal policies
  • Collaborate with project management and HR teams to gather required payroll information


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience
  • Proven experience processing certified payroll within the construction industry
  • Hands-on experience with prevailing wage requirements
  • LCP Tracker experience required
  • Strong working knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel (intermediate to advanced)
  • Experience with Viewpoint (Vista) is a plus
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) required
