Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Payroll and Compliance Specialist located in Signal Hill, CA. The Payroll and Compliance Specialist will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, maintaining employment records, and assisting with audits. Additional responsibilities include compiling and reviewing financial information related to payroll, staying updated on labor laws, preparing payroll-related reports, and collaborating with HR and management to address compliance matters across the company.


Qualifications

  • Strong experience with payroll software, payroll processing, and timekeeping systems
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements, labor laws, and state/federal payroll regulations
  • Attention to detail, great organizational skills, and ability to handle confidential information
  • Proven data analysis and reporting skills to develop accurate payroll and compliance reports
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and other relevant tools
  • Past experience in construction, environmental services, or a similar industry is a plus
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field is preferred
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
