Payroll Specialist | $65–75K + Bonus + Benefits

A growing, multi‑entity organization is looking for a sharp, detail‑driven Payroll Specialist to join their team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys problem‑solving, and wants to own payroll operations while supporting broader HR functions.

What You’ll Do

• Process payroll and maintain accurate employee records
• Handle bank and account reconciliations
• Support setup and implementation of new payroll entities
• Manage multi‑state & federal quarterly/annual tax filings
• Respond to tax and compliance notices
• Recommend improvements to payroll systems and procedures
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, benefits reporting, and employee updates
• Support workers comp and 401(k) audits
• Help ensure compliance with multi‑state labor laws

What You Bring

• 3–5 years of payroll experience
• Strong reasoning skills and a proactive mindset
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Solid Excel skills and understanding of accounting principles
• Experience with payroll/accounting systems (Paylocity, Sage, etc.)
• Ability to prioritize and communicate effectively across teams

Compensation 💰 $65,000–$75,000 base salary 🎉 Bonus + full benefits package
