Job Summary:

We are seeking a mid-level Payroll Accountant with hands-on experience in payroll processing and reconciliation to support high-volume, multi-state payroll operations. This role involves managing payroll calculations, supporting tax reporting, and assisting with reconciliation efforts while balancing both ongoing workload and backlog items. The position is based in Pittsburgh, PA, with a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite).


Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing: Execute semi-monthly, monthly, and off-cycle payrolls, including variable compensation and adjustments

Reconciliation & Analysis: Perform payroll reconciliations and support resolution of discrepancies

Tax & Compliance: Support payroll tax reporting and regulatory filings

Workload Management: Handle both day-to-day payroll processing and backlog reconciliation items

Data Analysis: Review payroll data, identify issues, and support resolution efforts

Process Improvement: Contribute to operational efficiency and workflow improvements


Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of payroll experience in an enterprise environment

• Strong experience with US payroll processing and tax reporting

• Experience working in high-volume, enterprise environments

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to adapt quickly and manage changing priorities


Preferred Experience:

• Experience with multi-state payroll and multiple legal entities

• Exposure to Oracle or ADP systems

• Experience working with reconciliation-heavy workflows
