Patent Licensing & Transactions Attorney

Our client, a boutique IP firm based in Southern California, is hiring a Licensing & Transactions Attorney in their Pasadena office. In this role, you will manage and advance patent licensing programs on behalf of industry and university clients, working directly with potential licensees to support and close licensing transactions.

  • Base Salary Range: $140K-$220K
  • Bonus: Bonus eligibility and amount are based upon company and/or individual performance

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present evidence of use (EOU) claim charts
  • Conduct and oversee reverse engineering and EOU investigations, including analysis of Internet and network traffic
  • Support negotiation and closing of patent licensing deals
  • Lead interactions with potential licensees across multiple licensing programs


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in closing patent licensing transactions
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • JD from an accredited university
  • Active CA bar membership
