Part-Time Video Production Assistant We are currently seeking candidates for a part-time Video Production Assistant role with a well-established financial services organization located in Boston, MA. The Video Production Assistant will be responsible for supporting studio and on-location video productions, managing equipment, and assisting with post-production tasks across a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will have some hands-on experience in video production, a confident and social presence, and the ability to engage with people at all levels. This is an entry-level opportunity with full training and mentorship provided.
This is a 6+ month contract position paying between $28–$33/hour (depending on experience). This is apart-time role. This role is onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (7 hours/day), with occasional Monday availability required about once per month.
Responsibilities:
Prepare for recording sessions and support studio productions (camera, audio, lighting) under team supervision
Manage equipment logistics: pack, transport, and ensure all gear is functional
Assist with on-site production needs, including crew support and catering coordination
Capture photo/video content at events and deliver assets in collaboration with marketing and social teams
Help prepare call sheets and crew lists for upcoming productions
Handle video transcription and coordinate delivery to stakeholders
Perform basic editing in Adobe Premiere (trimming, template-based graphics)
Organize raw footage and upload final content to platforms like Vimeo and internal sites
Research new equipment and tech trends to support team improvements
Track expenses and assist with purchasing and asset management
Provide general production and administrative support as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Film, Communications, Media Production, or a related field.
1+ years of experience in video production, equipment handling, and post-production (or equivalent coursework/training).
Basic familiarity with video production equipment; hands-on training will be provided.
Experience with Adobe Premiere or comparable video editing software is a plus.
Familiarity with Blackmagic Design studio equipment and Sony cameras (A7 and FX6) is a strong advantage.
Strong organizational skills and clear written and verbal communication.
Confident, personable, and comfortable directing and engaging with individuals at all levels of an organization.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Flexibility to work occasional evening hours as required by production schedules.
A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and willingness to ask questions.
