Video Assistant (Part-Time) We are currently seeking candidates for a Video Assistant (Part-Time) opportunity at a highly successful Investment Management firm located in Boston, MA. The Video Assistant will work closely with the Video Team and will be involved with equipment management, video production, and post-production processes. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of related video production, equipment management, and post-production experience.
This is a 6+ month contract position that will pay between $28-$33/hour (depending on experience). This role supports an on-site work model in Boston, MA.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, package, and maintain video equipment for on/off location video shoots.
Ensure the studio is prepped and ready for recordings by organizing and maintaining studio equipment.
Assist with audio, lighting, equipment coordination, and cameras during studio recordings.
Assist with equipment setup, ensuring timeliness and adherence to best practices.
Coordinate call sheets and crew lists for video recordings.
Manage logistical coordination, including assisting with vendors, catering, etc.
Capture, edit, and deliver content (video and photo) for events.
Assist with video transcription, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in delivery.
Assist with expense management, tracking, and reporting.
Perform post-production responsibilities, including assisting with finalizing, posting, and scheduling video file delivery.
Organize and prepare video files for editing and revision.
Conduct video editing, including trimming video clips and adding graphics.
Upload and maintain content to digital platforms/tools, including intranet and Vimeo.
Partner with internal teams, including social media, video, events, and marketing, to deliver content in a timely manner.
Stay up-to-date with product updates, emerging technology, and equipment trends.
Provide additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (required).
1+ years of related video production, equipment management, and post-production processes experience.
Basic experience and exposure to core video production processes and equipment.
Previous experience with Adobe Premiere, Blackmagic Design switcher, studio cameras, Sony cameras (A7 and FX6), or similar preferred.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Willingness and eagerness to learn and ask questions.
Ability to manage competing deadlines and evolving needs.
Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
