A sole practitioner estate planning and administration law firm in West Chester is seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to support the attorney in a variety of legal and administrative matters. This position is ideal for a professional who is organized, client-focused, and comfortable managing files from intake through completion. Prior probate experience is helpful but not required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file legal documents related to estate planning and administration matters
  • Draft correspondence, basic legal documents, and routine filings under attorney supervision
  • Assist with case management, including tracking key information, deadlines, and required documentation
  • Communicate with clients, courts, financial institutions, and other parties with professionalism and empathy
  • Manage case files, calendars, and scheduling
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical files in accordance with firm procedures
  • Support the attorney with document review, research, and administrative tasks
  • Perform general administrative and clerical duties as needed


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant (practice area flexible)
  • Interest in estate planning, probate, or related legal work
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management software
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

Education & Certification

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Paralegal certificate is a plus, but not required
