Westcoast Sales Rep- Remote position with Regional Travel

Based out of San Diego, CA or Bay Area

Role Overview

We are seeking a high-performing Sales Representative with 2–6 years of experience in medical device or diagnostic sales, with a strong focus on Medical consumables and CDMO solutions supporting the medical device industry.

This role is equally focused on driving recurring consumables revenue, expanding CDMO partnerships, and enabling placement of diagnostic instrumentation. The ideal candidate can balance transactional volume (consumables) with strategic, long-cycle CDMO engagements across hospital laboratories, reference labs, and healthcare systems.


Key Responsibilities

Revenue Growth (Consumables & CDMO Focus)

  • Drive high-volume, recurring consumables sales across existing and new accounts
  • Develop and grow CDMO partnerships, managing longer, consultative sales cycles
  • Align consumables pull-through with instrumentation placements where applicable

Solution Selling

  • Position integrated offerings across consumables, CDMO services, and diagnostic platforms
  • Secure long-term agreements that drive both recurring and project-based revenue

Technical Consultations

  • Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations to pathologists, lab directors, and clinical staff
  • Translate complex capabilities into clinical, operational, and economic value

Strategic Account Management

  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close
  • Navigate hospital procurement processes, including value analysis committees

KOL Engagement

  • Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and laboratory stakeholders
  • Influence diagnostic protocols and vendor selection

Market Expansion

  • Identify opportunities for consumables growth, CDMO engagements, and new instrument placements
  • Monitor market trends and competitive activity


Qualifications

  • Experience: 2–6 years of success in medical device, diagnostics, or pharmaceutical sales (experience with consumables and/or CDMO strongly preferred)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field (MBA a plus)
  • Communication: Ability to sell both high-frequency consumables and complex, technical solutions
  • Technical Skills: CRM proficiency (e.g., Salesforce) for pipeline management and forecasting
