Summary/Objective

The Training Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, tracking, and facilitating training programs within operations that support safety, quality, operational efficiency, and employee development. This role will support employee training and development initiatives within manufacturing operations, covering production, technical, maintenance, and support functions.


Key Responsibilities and Percentages

Training and Facilitation

  • Coordinate and schedule new hire and temporary employee onboarding and operational training programs
  • Assist with development and updating of training materials, work instructions, presentations, and procedures
  • Partner with supervisors and department leaders to identify training needs and skill gaps
  • Coordinate cross-training and employee development initiatives
  • Assist with safety and quality training initiatives to reinforce company standards
  • Facilitate or coordinate internal training sessions as needed

Performance Evaluation

  • Maintain accurate employee training records and training matrices
  • Track training completion and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements


Reporting, Auditing and Compliance

  • Monitor hourly trainer performance and communicate active training periods with HR
  • Generate reports and metrics related to training completion, compliance, and employee development
  • Support audits by providing training documentation and compliance records,
  • Assist with implementation and administration of learning management systems (LMS) or training databases
  • Track training completion and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor training effectiveness and gather feedback for continuous improvement


Other

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment

In this role, the Training Coordinator will split time between the office and production areas.


Physical Demands

The Training Coordinator will routinely be walking on concrete or other hard surfaces, bending, standing, and lifting up to 30 lbs. They must be able to wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in production areas, such as steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.


Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Standard Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., 40 hours per week.


Travel

There is limited travel for this role.


Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in training coordination, manufacturing support, operations, or administrative coordination
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience maintaining records and reports with strong accuracy

  • Experience coordinating onboarding and technical skills training
  • Prior leadership experience in any setting
