Position: Operations SuperintendentReports to: Chief Operating Officer / IntegratorLocation: Field-based (travel required); yard based in Mineral Wells, TXPosition Summary:Southwest Fluid Products, Inc. (SWFP) is seeking an Operations Superintendent to lead day-to-day field execution across active water and wastewater treatment projects, including new installations, refurbishments, and private utility work. This role serves as the primary field execution leader, responsible for managing Field Foremen, overseeing field crews, and ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project schedules and budgets. The Operations Superintendent works closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Design and Engineering, Project Managers, Procurement and Supply Chain, and Safety to deliver consistent, high-quality results in the field. This is a working field leadership role. While the primary responsibility is leadership and oversight, the Operations Superintendent is expected to occasionally tool up as needed to support crews, resolve issues, and maintain credibility in the field.Key Responsibilities:1) Field Leadership and ExecutionLead and manage all Field Foremen and field crews across active projects.Set clear expectations for productivity, quality, safety, and professionalism.Ensure consistent execution of installation plans, sequencing, and field methods.Serve as the first escalation point for field-level execution issues.Provide hands-on leadership in the field when necessary to support successful outcomes.2) Scheduling, Labor, and ProductivityExecute field work in alignment with project schedules and priorities.Optimize crew utilization across projects and minimize downtime.Manage overtime to balance schedule needs with labor cost discipline.Reassign crews and labor resources as needed to support project execution.Coordinate mobilization and demobilization of crews across projects.3) Coordination with Project Management and Design and Engineering TeamsPartner with Project Managers to align field execution with project plans and budgets.Provide operational input during project planning, scheduling, and kickoffs.Communicate field progress, constraints, and risks clearly and proactively.Support implementation of approved change orders and scope adjustments in the field.4) Safety and ComplianceEnforce all company, OSHA, and site-specific safety requirements. Ensure Field Foremen and crews comply with required safety training and certifications.Address safety issues promptly and consistently in the field.Partner with Safety leadership on incident prevention, reporting, and corrective actions.5) People Leadership and AccountabilityCoach, develop, and hold Field Foremen accountable for performance and results.Support hiring, onboarding, and training of Field Foremen and field personnel.Address performance issues directly and in a timely manner.Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and professionalism across field operations.6) Authority and Decision-MakingApprove overtime within established guidelines.Approve crew assignments and reassignments.Approve field-level purchasing within established limits.Escalate material issues, risks, or deviations to the COO as appropriate.Expected Outcomes (First 12-24 Months):1) More consistent and predictable field execution across all projects.2) Improved coordination between field operations, project management, and design and engineering.3) Stronger accountability and performance standards for Field Foremen and crews.4) Improved labor utilization and disciplined overtime management.5) A visible, respected field leader who sets the tone for execution and professionalism.
