Operations and Expediting Coordinator
Direct Hire opportunity
Hours: 2nd shift (3pm-12:00pm) M-F some weekends
Reports To: Plant Manager
Job Summary
The Operations and Expediting Coordinator supports plant operations by coordinating customer orders, production planning, shipping, and inventory activities. This role serves as a key point of contact between customers and internal departments to ensure accurate order processing, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and manage customer orders in the ERP system (Deacom), including after-hours orders as needed
- Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams
- Coordinate order distribution with production, transportation, and customer service
- Assist with dispatching, Bills of Lading, and direct ship logistics
- Ensure hazardous materials shipments comply with regulations and maintain required certifications
- Manage inventory adjustments, quality data entry, and sales order corrections
- Support month-end reporting, invoicing, and freight reconciliation
- Maintain production reports and perform general administrative data entry
Minimum Requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP systems
- Good math, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
