Position Overview

Allendale Treatment is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide medical care for adult patients receiving inpatient addiction and mental health treatment. This role focuses on patient assessments, medication management, diagnostic evaluation, and collaboration with our clinical and medical teams to support safe detoxification and recovery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct medical assessments, histories, and physical/psychiatric evaluations
  • Diagnose and treat substance use and mental health conditions
  • Provide medication management, including psychotropic medications
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Document patient encounters accurately and within required timeframes
  • Communicate patient status with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment, medications, and recovery
  • Identify suicide risk and ensure appropriate clinical response
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and treatment planning


Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current APRN / Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Indiana
  • Ability to practice under Indiana NP regulations (IC 25-23-1-19.4)
  • Experience in addiction medicine, behavioral health, or psychiatry preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
  • Experience with EMR systems such as KIPU preferred
