Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to support and enhance enterprise network security operations in a 24/7 environment. This role focuses on the design, implementation, and maintenance of firewall and VPN technologies, with an emphasis on Cisco-based solutions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in modernizing network security infrastructure while ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage and support Cisco ASA firewall environments across enterprise LAN/WAN networks
- Design, configure, and maintain network security solutions, including:
- Cisco ASA Firewalls
- Cisco VPN technologies
- Cisco AnyConnect
- Cisco ACS
- Gigamon tools
- RSA security solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network security, firewall, and connectivity issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to align security strategies and operational goals
- Participate in project planning, execution, and delivery of network security initiatives
- Work with third-party vendors for hardware/software support and issue resolution
- Drive continuous improvement and modernization of network security infrastructure
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
Experience
- 8+ years of experience in network security engineering
- Hands-on experience with:
- Cisco ASA Firewalls
- VPN technologies
- Cisco AnyConnect
- Cisco ACS
- Gigamon
- Experience supporting enterprise-level data center environments
- Proven experience with mid-to-large scale Cisco firewall deployments
Certifications
- CCNA or CCNA Security (required)
- CCNP or CCNP Security (preferred)
- CCIE (highly preferred)

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers
- Familiarity with Forescout security solutions
- Experience configuring Cisco switches and ASA devices
- Knowledge of 802.1X authentication
- Experience with network segmentation (VLANs, MPLS)
- Multi-OS support experience: Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS
- Familiarity with ServiceNow and Visio
